Counselors Corner

Our Mission

The mission of the Bridgeport Independent School District Counseling department is to implement a data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program that address the academic, career and personal.social development of all students in a safe and positive learning environment. The counseling program is committed to partnering with community stakeholders to provide research-based support to empower student growth.

The BHS counseling center handles the registration of students, has information about credit recovery programs, and provides scholarship information. Scholarship information will be made available to your students through their school counseling campus page. When it's time to plan for college and technical schools, check with us for current information. Links on this site are from outside Bridgeport ISD, but have assisted parents and students with questions as they have arisen. If you would like to visit your child's counselor, please call for an appointment. This might eliminate a wait or an unnecessary trip if we are off campus.
